Special Discussion on Tourism and Investment Policy Held in Kathmandu

A special discussion on the development of the tourism industry and streamlined investment policies was held in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. The meeting was attended by prominent leaders from the country’s tourism and investment sectors.

Present at the meeting was Ananda Prasad Pokharel, a distinguished Nepali politician, former Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, current Central Committee member and Politburo member of the Nepal Communist Party (UML), and an expert in hydropower and agricultural investment. He engaged with participants on investment opportunities, the potential of the tourism sector, and Nepal’s streamlined investment policies.

Also present was Md. Golam Faruk Majnu, Executive Director of the Asian Business Partnership Summit and Editor & Publisher of Biplobi Janta. He shared valuable insights on foreign investment policies, regional cooperation, and future prospects for the development of the tourism and commercial sectors in South Asia.

The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between Nepal and Bangladesh in business, investment, and tourism sectors. A bilateral meeting was also held.

During the discussion, plans and potential cooperation for the Human Harmony Festival, to be held on October 9 in Malé, the capital of the Maldives, were also addressed.
